We're looking to add a detail oriented, organized, team centric individual to our team.

The Payroll & Benefits Specialist acts as the technical expert related to all payroll and benefit duties. This position oversees the Bank's payroll processing and benefit administration. Qualified candidate oversees all benefit administration including but not limited to: administering benefit plans including retirement and audits. 

This position has the flexibility to work from any of our 20 branch locations.  However, this individual must have the flexibility to travel to North Platte, Nebraska for at least a two - three week extended time period for training. 


  • Manages payroll for the organization and ensure payroll is processed in an accurate, compliant and timely manner.
  • Oversees and troubleshoots any payroll changes and/or discrepancies in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Partners with Accounting to provide all related post-payroll reports.
  • Manages HRIS system of records including configuration of benefits, online enrollment, new employee onboarding, HR changes and workflows.
  • Manages the relationship with and performance of Ultimate Software as a service provider
  • Administer benefit programs, including health coverage, 401K, disability plans, etc. Maintain benefit records and prepare documents necessary for implementing benefit coverage.
  • Notify employees, in a timely manner, of their eligibility for all benefits plans. Follow-up with signup and transmittal of enrollment forms to the third-party administrator.
  • Acts as the liaison between all benefit brokers and employees.
  • Educates, trains and communicates the Company's benefit plans with the ability to explain complicated situations in a user-friendly manner.
  • Experience with Ultimate Software and/or ADP is preferred.

  • Sound independent judgment, analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Knowledgeable of Federal and state laws including HR policies and procedure best practices
  • Proven abilities to work independently and be initiative driven


  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or related field required; experience may be substituted
  • 5 years minimum experience required.
